    Mark Hiesterman, a General Surgeon from Montana, embodies a life of dedication and resilience. Born and raised in Deer Lodge, a small mountain town in Montana, he grew up in a family deeply committed to healthcare. This environment, where his parents and siblings were engaged in various medical professions, profoundly influenced his career path. It instilled in him an unwavering commitment to healthcare and community service.


    His academic journey began at the University of Montana, a stepping stone that marked the start of his dedication to the medical field. He then moved to Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, graduating in 2000 with triple majors in Biology, Chemistry, and Classical Studies. His diverse academic interests showcased his intellectual curiosity and his commitment to a broad spectrum of knowledge.


    The next phase of his education was at Kansas City University of Medicine. Here, he faced a significant personal challenge—the loss of his mother in a car accident during his first year. This tragedy tested his emotional strength and resilience. Nevertheless, he remained steadfast in his studies, a testament to his dedication, eventually graduating with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. This period honed his medical skills and fortified his character, preparing him for the challenges ahead in his professional life.
